Jammu Kashmir Govt Orders Promotion of Secretariat Multitasking Staff | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government’s General Administration Department (GAD) has ordered the promotion of Multitasking Staff (MTS) of the JK Secretariat (Subordinate) Service under Government Order No. 846-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated April 28, 2026.

As per the order issued following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held on April 10, 2026, Firdousa Banoo, Daftari (MTS), has been promoted as Senior Office Attendant in Pay Level-4 (Rs 25,500–Rs 81,100) on a prospective basis.

In another set of promotions, five Head Multitasking Staff members have been elevated to the post of Daftaries in Pay Level-2 (Rs 19,900–Rs 63,200). The promoted officials include Shakeel Ahmad Malik, Nissar Ahmad Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger, Sheikh Mohammed Rafiq, and Bushan Lal Bhat.

The order clearly states that the promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts.
