Players voice excitement ahead of  Kashmir Champions League kick-off

Srinagar, Jun 12: As the countdown to the inaugural edition of the Kashmir Champions League (KCL) 2026 enters its final phase, players from across the Valley have expressed excitement and optimism, describing the tournament as a landmark opportunity to showcase local talent and elevate football in Jammu and Kashmir.
During training sessions held ahead of the league’s launch, players, as per the J&K Sports Council, highlighted the significance of a competition that brings together footballers from all districts on a common platform.

Many said the league represents more than just a tournament, it is an opportunity to fulfil dreams, gain exposure and contribute to the growth of football in the region.
The players lauded the J&K Sports Council initiative for creating a professional environment where emerging footballers can compete alongside experienced players and learn from accomplished coaches. They expressed confidence that the league would help identify hidden talent and provide young athletes with a pathway to higher levels of competition.
