Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. The selection should be through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship), GATE, or national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments or Agencies.
Desirable Qualification:
Preference will be given to candidates having a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS, Geomatics Engineering, Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, Applied Geology, or Geology. Experience in Himalayan studies, knowledge of SAR Remote Sensing, and work related to glacier science at the postgraduate level are desirable.
Age Limit:
Maximum age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Women/PH candidates will be provided as per Government of India rules.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly emolument of Rs. 37,000 plus 20% HRA.
The total tenure for this position is 3 years. The initial appointment will be for 1 year and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate.
