Jawahar Nagar, Bandipora, Baramulla and Pulwama Schools register wins in ALFA Hockey Tournament

Four matches were played on Day 4 of the ALFA Interschool Hockey Tournament 2026 in Srinagar on Friday, with schools from Srinagar, Bandipora, Baramulla and Pulwama registering impressive victories.

In the opening match, as per a statement, Government Higher Secondary School Jawahar Nagar outclassed Little Hurt Tullmulla Ganderbal 5-0. Varunpreet was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

The second match saw NM Higher Secondary School Bandipora defeat SRG Montessori Srinagar 5-1. Aman Iqbal Shah earned the Man of the Match award for his contribution to the victory.

In another closely contested encounter, GND School Baramulla edged past R.P. School Srinagar 2-1. Bikramjeet Singh was named Man of the Match.

The fourth and final match of the day witnessed PM SHRI High School Pahoo Pulwama secure a convincing 3-0 win over AGM City School Nowgam. Mir Shayana was adjudged Man of the Match.

With the completion of four matches on Friday, a total of 16 matches have been played in the tournament so far.

The ALFA Interschool Hockey Tournament is being organised by the Badal Hockey Club under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir in association with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The tournament, featuring 32 teams, will continue until June 11, with participants competing for a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and the championship trophy.
