SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council will organise “Cyclothon 2026” in Srinagar on June 3 to mark World Bicycle Day, with the theme ‘Ride for the Next Generation’.

The event is being held under the FIT India movement to promote fitness, healthy living and awareness about the benefits of cycling among youth and the general public.

According to officials, the cyclothon aims to encourage the adoption of cycling as a healthy lifestyle activity while highlighting its role in combating obesity, improving heart health, enhancing fitness and strengthening immunity.

The Sports Council has invited cyclists, sports enthusiasts and fitness lovers to participate in large numbers to make the event a mass movement for health and wellness.

Registration for the event has been opened, and participants can register through the QR code provided on the official promotional poster available on the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council’s Facebook handle.
