Woman Dies as Wall Collapses in South Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A woman lost her life after a wall collapsed on her in the Check Keegam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.

An official said that a cemented wall suddenly collapsed in the Check Keegam area and fell on the woman.

Soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation to pull her out from the debris, the official said.

However, the woman had already succumbed to her injuries before she could be shifted to a nearby hospital, they said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation has been initiated. (JKNS)
