SRINAGAR: Two school students were injured in a road traffic accident in the Maisuma area of Srinagar on Tuesday after their scooty was hit by a Maruti vehicle, police said.

The injured were shifted by a police team from Police Station Maisuma to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where doctors said their condition is stable.

The incident occurred in central Srinagar when the two minors, riding on a scooty, were struck by the vehicle, according to initial information provided by attendants.

The injured have been identified as Shayam, 15, a resident of Bemina, and Arsalan, 10, a resident of Batmaloo.

Police acted promptly, shifting the injured to the hospital for treatment. Medical officials confirmed that both children are under observation and their condition is stable.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, and efforts are being made to identify the vehicle involved.  [KNT]
