Srinagar, April 5: Apni Party held crucial meetings today in the Zainapora (Shopian) and DH Pora constituencies to elect office bearers at the zonal level. Both the meetings were held under the leadership of the party’s party’s returning officer Abdul Majeed Padder.
According to a statement issued here, In DH Pora the following office bearers were elected: Zonal president DH Pora constituency Abdul Hameed Dar; Zonal president women’s wing DH Pora Miss Shazia ji; Block president DH Pora Mohammad Ayoub Bhat; Block President DK Marg Ghulam Mohammad Malik (Akbar); Block President Phaloo Mohammad Altaf; Block President Manzgam Tajamul Shafi Magray; and Block President (Youth) Manzgam Aijaz Ahmad Malik.
In Zenapora Shopian six Block Presidents and one Zonal President were elected to strengthen the party organization at the grassroots level. Those who were elected are: Zonal President Mohammad Aslam Naik, Block Presidents Arif Ahmad Lone, Block Zainapora; Mushtaq Ahmed Thoker—Block Chitragam; Khurshid Ahmad — Block Imamsahib; Mohammad Yaqoob Padder — Block Harmain, Mohd Aslam Sheikh — Block Kaprin; and Javid Ahmad Rather — Block Kangiuallar.
According to press release issued in this regard, the meetings concluded with a commitment from party leaders and workers to strengthen the party structure, promote unity, and work dedicatedly for the welfare and development of the people of the region.
Speaking on the occasions, Abdul Majeed Padder said that organisational elections are held to strengthen democratic environment in the party.
In these meetings, the prominent party leaders who were present included party’s Provencial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin, Provincial President Hakeekat Singh, District President Shopian Advocate Gowhar Hassan Wani, Block Coordinators Zainapora and District Coordinator Nasrullah Koka, and others.
