Hails Modiji’s foreign policy, economic resilience and transformative development agenda amid challenging global situation

Srinagar, May 23: BJP Jammu & Kashmir spokesman Altaf Thakur today hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, describing the achievement as a historic milestone in the country’s democratic journey and a reflection of the immense trust reposed by the people in his leadership.
In a statement, Thakur said Prime Minister Modi, who first took oath on May 26, 2014, has emerged as one of the most influential global leaders of the modern era and has elevated India’s stature across the world through bold diplomacy, decisive governance and a clear developmental vision.
He said that while India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru served from August 15, 1947 till May 27, 1964, Narendra Modi’s uninterrupted democratic mandate since 2014 symbolises the deep faith of 140 crore Indians in his leadership, honesty and commitment towards nation-building.
“Prime Minister Modi has transformed India from a country once viewed merely as a regional power into a decisive and respected global voice whose opinion matters in every major international forum,” Thakur said.
He said Modi’s foreign policy has brought unprecedented diplomatic strength to India and positioned the country as a key player in shaping global discourse on security, economy, climate action, technology and humanitarian cooperation.
“Whether it is India’s leadership during global crises, evacuation missions for Indian citizens abroad, strengthening ties with Gulf nations, deepening strategic partnerships with world powers or enhancing India’s influence in international institutions, Modi Ji has given Indian diplomacy a new confidence, direction and credibility,” he added.
Referring to the ongoing tensions in West Asia involving Iran, the United States and Israel, along with concerns surrounding instability around the Strait of Hormuz, Thakur said the Prime Minister has displayed exceptional statesmanship by maintaining strategic balance and safeguarding India’s national and economic interests amid highly volatile global circumstances.
“At a time when many economies are facing uncertainty due to geopolitical tensions and disruptions in global energy routes, India under Modi Ji has demonstrated remarkable resilience and stability. His government has maintained close coordination with foreign countries, ensured uninterrupted diplomatic engagement and protected India’s economic interests with maturity and foresight,” Thakur said.
He further said Modi’s leadership has strengthened India’s image as a trusted global partner capable of maintaining balanced relations with nations across different blocs without compromising national interest.
“Today, world leaders look towards Prime Minister Modi with respect and admiration because of his clarity, decisiveness and commitment towards peace, stability and development. India’s voice is now heard seriously on every global platform because Modi Ji has redefined the country’s diplomatic and strategic outreach,” he said.
The BJP spokesman also praised the Prime Minister’s development initiatives across the country, saying the last decade has witnessed an unprecedented transformation in infrastructure, governance and public welfare.
“From world-class highways, expressways, rail corridors, tunnels and airports to revolutionary schemes for the poor, farmers, youth and women, every sector has witnessed rapid development under Modi Ji’s leadership. His government has focused on transparency, accountability, digital transformation and inclusive growth, which has changed the lives of millions,” Thakur said.
He said Jammu & Kashmir too has witnessed a new era of development and connectivity under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, with major investments in infrastructure, tourism, healthcare, education and public welfare.
“Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has infused a new sense of confidence, national pride and optimism among the people of the country. His dedication, tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment towards making India a strong and developed nation will continue to inspire generations,” Thakur added.
