Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of Mega Padh Yatra in Kulgam | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a detailed advisory in view of a Mega Rally (Padh Yatra) under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan scheduled to be held in Kulgam district on June 1, 2026.

According to the advisory issued by Traffic Police Rural Kashmir, vehicular movement will remain suspended on key routes in Kulgam from 0400 hours to 1500 hours to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

Traffic from Khudwani Crossing to Chawalgam Chowk via Laroo Bus Stand, Gantaghar, and from Sangus Crossing to Laroo Bypass Crossing via Circle Road Kulgam will remain completely restricted during the period.

The advisory further stated that motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel through Kulgam town during the event hours.

Alternate routes have been designated for smooth vehicular movement. Traffic from DH Pora towards Anantnag or Srinagar will be diverted via Chawalgam Bypass, Pahloo, Kilam and Mirbazaar connecting NH-44. Similarly, vehicles from Srinagar and Anantnag towards Kulgam will be rerouted at Wanpoh and Khudwani crossings via Alstop, Mirbazaar, Kilam, Pahloo and Chawalgam Bypass.

Traffic from Khudwani and Qaimoh areas will be diverted through Kaddar Crossing and Bachroo towards Laroo Kulgam.

The advisory has been issued in public interest, urging commuters to adhere to diversion plans and cooperate with traffic authorities to avoid inconvenience.
