Srinagar: Search for Unidentified Person in Jhelum Enters Day Two | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Rescue teams continued search operations on Thursday in the River Jhelum to trace an unidentified youth who allegedly jumped into the water from Budshah Bridge in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar late Wednesday evening.

Officials said the operation, being carried out by the SDRF Quick Response Team (Jhelum), was resumed early Thursday morning after being suspended overnight due to poor visibility and safety concerns.

According to reports, the youth had jumped into the river from the bridge, prompting an immediate rescue response. However, despite initial efforts, no trace of the individual was found on the day of the incident.

The search operation was still underway when this report was filed.
