Rusted pistol recovered during garbage cleaning in Soura Srinagar

Srinagar, April 24: A rusted pistol was recovered from a garbage dump near a girls’ higher secondary school in the Anchar area of Soura Srinagar after municipal sanitation workers alerted police during a routine cleaning operation on Friday.

The firearm was noticed by workers while clearing accumulated waste in the locality. Recognizing the object as a weapon, they immediately informed Police Station Soura.

Acting on the information, a police team reached the spot and secured the pistol. The weapon, described as rusted, was recovered from the garbage site without any reported incident.
