Jammu, June 07,2026: Continuing its drive against the illegal liquor trade under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Rural Police Jammu achieved another success by apprehending a bootlegger and recovering a large quantity of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
Acting on reliable source information, a police party of Border Police Post Sandwan (PS Domana) conducted a raid at the residence of Parveen Lal S/o Manga Ram R/o Bhagatpur.
During the operation, 108 quarters of JK Desi Whisky were recovered from his possession and the accused was apprehended on the spot.
In this regard, FIR No. 124/2026 under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation is underway.
Rural Police Jammu remains committed to taking strict action against those involved in illegal liquor trade and other unlawful activities to ensure peace and public order in the district.
