
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Charangam–Tap transmission line on June 11, 2026, resulting in a temporary suspension of electricity supply in several areas.
According to Chief Engineer (Distribution), KPDCL, the shutdown will be carried out from 9 am to 3 pm to facilitate maintenance works on the line.
During this period, power supply to Utligam, Charangam, Prencenard and adjoining localities will remain affected.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the six-hour disruption and stated that supply will be restored immediately upon completion of the maintenance work.
