Jammu Kashmir Govt Retains Over 170 Officers Across Departments at Jammu Secretariat for Summer 2026 Darbar Move | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the retention of a large number of officers and officials across multiple departments at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, during the Summer Season 2026 under the Annual Darbar Move arrangements.

According to Government Order No. 851-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department, the officers and officials will continue to remain stationed in Jammu in continuation of Government Order No. 786-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated April 15, 2026.

The order states that the arrangement is temporary and will remain in force until the completion of the Darbar Move from Jammu to Srinagar.

Agriculture Production Department

The government said the arrangement is temporary and will remain in force until completion of the Darbar Move process. It further directed that all rooms in the Civil Secretariat, Jammu, except those allotted to retained staff, shall be sealed after the move, while rooms allotted to ministers and administrative secretaries will remain open during their visits.
