Jammu Kashmir Govt Assigns Additional Charges to Several Officers | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday issued two separate administrative orders assigning additional responsibilities to senior officers and effecting a key field posting in Rajouri.

As per Government Order No. 806-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated April 18, Piyush Singla, IAS (AGMUT: 2012), Secretary, Information Technology Department—who is already holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Public Grievances Department—has been entrusted with further additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Transport Department and Hospitality and Protocol Department. He will continue to hold these additional responsibilities along with his own duties until IAS officer Avny Lavasa resumes charge.

In another order, Government Order No. 807-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated April 18, Ravi Kumar Sihag, IAS (AGMUT: 2022), who was awaiting posting in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, replacing Chander Parkash, JKAS, who has been directed to await further orders.

The order also states that Sihag shall hold additional charge of Registrar, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, relieving Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, of the additional responsibility until further orders.
