SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued strict instructions to Chief Education Officers (CEOs) across the Kashmir Division to halt all transfers and deployments of Senior Assistants made without the approval of the competent authority.

In a circular, the Directorate noted that several Senior Assistants had been shifted to different institutions and offices by CEOs on various grounds without following due procedure, describing the practice as a violation of established rules. The matter has been taken seriously by the authorities.

The order further directs CEOs to immediately relieve all such officials who were posted without proper authorisation and ensure their return to their original postings without delay.

DSEK has also instructed Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to withhold salaries of Senior Assistants deployed without approval until they resume duties at their sanctioned places of posting.

The Directorate has cautioned that any breach of these directions will lead to disciplinary action against the concerned officers or officials.
