JPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Due to Maintenance Works

JAMMU: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Jammu Division between October 10 and October 13 for necessary maintenance and upgradation works.

According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Pouni, Shiv Khouri, Dadua, Laiter, Bharakh, Ransoo, Talwara and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 11 from 9 am to 3 pm. Similarly, Shiv Khori, Ransoo, Dadua, Laiter, Dharan, Dhakikot, Thakrakot and nearby localities will face a shutdown on October 12 from 9 am to 2 pm.

Power supply to Chibba, Thanda Pani, Baymal and adjoining areas will also remain affected on October 11 and 13 from 7 am to 1 pm, while Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, part of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony and nearby areas will face a cut on October 11 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Likewise, Vijaypur Town, Kolpur, Bandral, Jakh, Raika, Sarore, Gowal, BB Town, Kaluchak and adjoining localities will experience power interruption on October 10 from 7 am to 9 am. The power supply to DC Office, Bara Dharoge, Barian and nearby areas will remain affected on October 12 from 8 am to 12 noon, and Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Railway Complex and adjoining areas will face a shutdown on October 12 from 6 am to 10 am.

In addition, Gangyal Industrial Area, Babliana and Trikuta Nagar will remain without power on October 12 from 8 am to 1 pm, while Akhnoor, Jourain, Tanda, MES, Ranjan Pargwal and adjoining areas will face a cut on October 11 from 8 am to 2 pm.

The industrial areas of Bari Brahmana, MES, Kartholi, Central University, Ratnuchak, BD Bari and nearby zones will also witness a shutdown on October 12 from 8 am to 2 pm. Similarly, Premnagar, Thathri, Dhara, Changa, Gandoh, Bhatyas, Bhaderwah Town and adjoining areas will be affected on October 11 from 9 am to 5 pm.

Power supply to Shahzadpur, Marh, Gajansoo, Gho Manhasan and nearby areas will remain interrupted on October 11 from 6.30 am to 2 pm, while Gujjar Nagar, Peer Mitha, Peer Khoo, Circular Road, Mast Garh, Dalpatian Mohalla, Julakha Mohalla and adjoining localities will face an outage on October 12 from 7 am to 1 pm.

Meanwhile, Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua, has informed that Jatwal, Naran, Rajali, Muthui Khurd and nearby areas will remain affected on October 11 from 8 am to 12 noon, while Sanura will face shutdowns on October 11 and 13 from 8 am to 12 noon.

Similarly, Meen and adjoining areas will experience power cuts on October 11 and 13 from 7 am to 12 noon, and Old Mawa, BSF and nearby localities will remain affected on October 12 and 13 from 8 am to 12 noon.

The JPDCL authorities have urged consumers in the affected areas to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience caused due to these essential maintenance works.
