Intensify signature campaign to demand statehood: Shameema Firdous

Srinagar, Aug 23: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Women’s Wing Saturday convened a crucial Provincial Committee meeting at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar, said a party release.

The meeting was chaired by the NC Women’s State President Advocate Shameema Firdous, and organized by Women’s Wing Provincial President Er Sabiya Qadri.

Prominent women functionaries and senior party workers from across the Valley attended the session, it said. Shameema Firdous announced the launch of a Valley-wide signature campaign, announced by the party vice president and Chief minister Omar Abdullah, aimed at mobilizing support for restoration of statehood, it said.
