Kishtwar Tragedy: DHSJ Cancels All Leaves in District for Health Staff

SRINAGAR: In the wake of the recent cloudburst in Kishtwar district, the Directorate of Health Services Jammu has cancelled all leaves of staff posted in the district with immediate effect, directing them to report back to their respective places of posting.

According to an order issued by Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, “No officer or official shall leave the station without prior permission from the Directorate.”

The directive has been communicated to all Chief Medical Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) across the Jammu division. They have also been advised to keep all ambulances in ready mode to meet any eventuality arising from inclement weather conditions.

The order further emphasizes maintaining strict readiness of the health workforce and ensuring uninterrupted medical services in the affected areas. (KNC)
