Div Com Kashmir Urges Public to Arrive Early With ID Cards

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Wednesday appealed to the public to participate in the upcoming event in large numbers, similar to last year’s celebrations.

Speaking to media persons in Srinagar, Bidhuri said, “Everyone has been invited just like last year. Despite the rain, there was a large turnout, and the festive spirit was not dampened. I expect the same this year as well.”

He further added, “Through you, I request everyone to come with their ID cards, arrive early so that you can get kehwa, sheermaal, and a seat.”

The main function of Independence Day will be held at Bakhshi Stadium Srinagar, where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will preside over the event, while officials said elaborate arrangements have been made for its smooth conduct. (KNC)
