Jammu: Professor Yash Pal Sharma, Dean and Syed Azhar Hashmi from the University of Jammu called on General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff . They briefed the COAS on their discovery and findings on a rare variety of mushroom ‘Pleurotus Shentelli’, which grows only in trans-Himalayan region of Drass and Mushkoh. The discussion focused on methods utilising the bio-diversity of the nation for augmenting wellness, medicinal benefits and promoting sustainable living for troops deployed in remote areas.
