Ladakh Admin Assigns Additional Charge of DGP to 2012 AGMUT IPS Officer | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has assigned additional charge of Director General of Police (DGP) to Koshal Kumar Sharma, an IPS officer of the 2012 AGMUT batch.

As per an official order issued by the Home Department on Tuesday, Sharma, who is presently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Leh-Kargil Range, will continue in the role until a regular DGP is appointed.

The decision comes after the relieving of incumbent DGP Mukesh Singh (IPS, 1996 AGMUT batch), who has been relieved of his duties in Ladakh with effect from May 27, 2026. He has been directed to take up his next assignment with the Government of Manipur.
