SRINAGAR, MAY 25: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today met legislators, Vice Chancellors and various delegations at the Civil Secretariat here and discussed a wide range of issues concerning regional development, public welfare, higher education, healthcare and infrastructure.
A delegation of Members of the Legislative Assembly comprising Javid Iqbal (Budhal), Muzaffar Iqbal Khan (Thanamandi), Choudhary Mohammed Akram (Surankote) and Iftikhar Ahmed (Rajouri) called on the Chief Minister and discussed various developmental and public welfare issues concerning the Pir Panjal region.

MLA Kulgam M.Y. Tarigami and MLA Shopian Shabir Ahmad Kullay also separately met the Chief Minister and apprised him of various matters related to their respective constituencies.
MLA Budgam Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi also called on the Chief Minister and discussed the overall situation in the Budgam constituency, besides matters related to the forthcoming holy month of Muharram-2026.
Vice Chancellor of Cluster University Srinagar Prof. Mohammad Mobin met the Chief Minister and apprised him of the recent progress and developmental initiatives undertaken by the university.
Vice Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir Prof. A. Ravinder Nath also called on the Chief Minister and briefed him about the developmental progress and academic initiatives of the university.
Director of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie also met the Chief Minister and apprised him of various issues and developments concerning the institution.
Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Construction Company Arjun Dhawan also called on the Chief Minister and briefed him on various ongoing works being executed by the company in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive development, strengthening public institutions and addressing public concerns in a responsive manner.
