
Jammu, Jun 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh has directed the officers to bolster vigilance with intensified synergised patrolling and strategic deployment of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) for prompt response to any contingency
SSP issued instructions while chairing a comprehensive Security Management and Coordination (SMAC) meeting at District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu, on June 12, to review and strengthen security arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026).
SSP maintained that proactive policing, robust inter-agency coordination and active public cooperation would play a vital role in maintaining peace, security, and stability across the Jammu district during SANJY-2026.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of District Police Jammu, representatives of CRPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP, intelligence agencies, civil administration, traffic police, telecommunication departments and disaster management authorities.
The deliberations focused on ensuring seamless coordination among all stakeholders for the safe and peaceful conduct of the Yatra.
