Kashmir Titans of Manchester emerged victorious over Kashmir Qalandars of Doncaster in a thrilling final of the 2026 Spring Edition of the Shah-e-Hamdan Cricket League, England

The final, as per a statement issued on Satuurday, was played at the picturesque Winsford Cricket Club in Cheshire and attracted a gathering of families, friends, and members of the Kashmiri diaspora from across the United Kingdom, alongside several prominent figures from the local community.

35-overs-per-side contest proved to be a nail-biting affair. Chasing a challenging target of 223, Kashmir Titans held their nerve to reach 224 in 33.3 overs, securing a memorable three-wicket victory. Earlier, Kashmir Qalandars had posted a formidable total of 222 for 9 wickets after winning the toss and electing to bat first.

The star of the final was Naveed Andrabi of Kashmir Titans, who produced a match-winning unbeaten century, scoring 100 runs from just 64 deliveries. 

His outstanding performances throughout the tournament also earned him the prestigious Player of the Tournament and Batsman of the Tournament awards. Naveed finished the competition with 359 runs at an average of 89.75 and a strike rate of 126.

Kashmir Titans’ Mubashir Hamdani was named Bowler of the Tournament after claiming 14 wickets during the competition at an average of 12.64 and an economy rate of 5.74 .

The Shah-e-Hamdan Cricket League, England, is a community-based cricket league registered with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Established with the objective of bringing together the Kashmiri diaspora across the United Kingdom, the league aims to strengthen community bonds and promote sporting excellence among British Kashmiris.

Now in its third year, the league featured ten teams from across Northern and Southern England competing for the coveted title.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Tuffail Dar, Chairman of the Organising Committee, congratulated all participating teams on the successful completion of another exciting tournament. He emphasised the importance of encouraging and empowering younger generations to play an active role in the league’s future, ensuring its continued growth and success for years to come.

Kashmir Titans captain, Muhammad Owais Khan, expressed his gratitude to the league management and organisers for delivering a well-managed and highly competitive tournament. He paid special tribute to Mohammad Ibrahim Kawa, Head of League Operations, and his team for their dedication and hard work throughout the season.

The victory marks a historic achievement for Kashmir Titans, who fulfilled their ambition of lifting the championship trophy in their first year of participation, etching their name into the league’s growing history.
