Office of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for Independent Member posts. The vacancies are for Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) for different power distribution corporations.

Eligibility Criteria of JERC J&K Vacancies

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Computer/Law/Public Administration/Journalism/Economics/Political Science or equivalent.

Age Limit:
Not mentioned in the notification.

Other Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in power sector related matters. A retired civil servant of Additional Secretary level or equivalent or a retired Electrical Engineer not below the rank of Superintending Engineer having experience in distribution of electricity.

Salary Details

The monthly remuneration shall be Rs. 30,000/-.

Other Terms and Conditions

The engagement shall be purely on contractual basis and will not confer any right to claim regular appointment or continuation.

The Independent Member shall be appointed initially for one year, extendable annually up to four additional years or till attaining the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

The Independent Member shall be entitled to 12 days Casual Leave in a calendar year.

The Independent Member shall be entitled to TA/DA as admissible to a Level-12 Officer of the UT of J&K, if approved by the Chairman, CGRF.

Eligible candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format along with supporting documents through registered post to the Secretary, Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for UTs of J&K and Ladakh, Railway Road, Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu – 180016.
