In a post on X, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that even after a year, the Union Territory continues to stand firmly against terrorism and violence, reaffirming ongoing efforts to establish lasting peace in the region. He emphasized the government’s resolve to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
The Chief Minister also extended solidarity with the families of those killed in the attack, terming it a “cowardly” act, and paid tribute to the victims while praying for peace to their souls.
The statement comes in reference to the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley, where 26 tourists lost their lives.
