
SRINAGAR: Several legislators and deputations on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and highlighted a range of developmental and relief-related concerns pertaining to their respective areas.
MLAs Nazir Ahmed Khan (Gurez), Surjit Singh Slathia (Samba), Qayser Jamshed Lone (Lolab) and Rameshwar Singh (Bani) met the Chief Minister and raised constituency-specific issues, including key development requirements.
The MLA from Gurez, representing a remote region, flagged multiple development concerns and local demands.
A deputation of private power companies also met the Chief Minister and discussed matters related to new independent power producers in Jammu and Kashmir.
Another deputation from the Chishoti–Paddar area of Kishtwar district apprised him of issues arising from a recent cloudburst, particularly the need for rehabilitation of affected families.
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all delegations and assured that their genuine concerns would be examined on priority, with appropriate steps to be taken for early redressal.
