Seerbagh–Sempora Bridge Nears Completion, To Be Opened Soon: Dy CM | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday said that the Seerbagh–Sempora bridge is nearing completion and will be opened to the public at the earliest.

He made the remarks during an inspection visit to the project site to review the pace and quality of ongoing work. The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar, Chief Engineer PWD Central Kashmir Narinder Kumar, Superintending Engineer Iram Lone, and other concerned officials.

During the inspection, Choudhary stressed strict adherence to quality standards and timely completion of the project. He expressed satisfaction over the progress and noted that the bridge is in its final stage of construction.

Highlighting the significance of the project, he said the bridge will significantly improve connectivity and accessibility for residents of Sempora, Seerbagh, Summerbugh, and adjoining areas of Chadoora, Pampore, and Srinagar, benefiting a large population.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the PWD (R and B) Guest House at Hyderpora in Srinagar and reviewed the proposed site for the construction of an Engineering Office-cum-Conference Hall.

Officials briefed him on the design and scope of the proposed facility. He directed the concerned departments to ensure proper planning, timely execution, and adherence to quality standards.

He also reviewed the condition of the guest house and discussed measures for its infrastructure upgradation and improved utility. Senior engineers and officials of the PWD Central Kashmir were present during the visit.
