
Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2026. The notification was issued on 11 March 2026 under Examination Notice No. 9/2026-CMS.
Through this recruitment, UPSC will fill 1358 vacancies for different Medical Officer posts including Medical Officers Grade in Central Health Service, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways, and General Duty Medical Officer posts. Candidates who have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination are eligible to apply. The online application process started on 11 March 2026 and will remain open until 31 March 2026.

Selected candidates will receive salary in Pay Matrix Level 10 ranging from 56100 to 177500 along with Non Practising Allowance and other admissible benefits as per government rules.
