Anti-terror operation enters 2nd day in Kishtwar

Jammu, Feb 5: Security forces on Thursday continued an anti-terror operation in the Dachaan area of Kishtwar district for the second consecutive day, a day after one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire with joint teams of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF, officials said.

Officials said that joint teams of Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF continued the operation for second day on Thursday and dense woods remained under cordon whereas extensive searches were conducted.

Heavy deployment of forces has been made in the area to ensure adequate area domination and extensive anti-terror operation.

On Wednesday, the terrorist who got eliminated in exchange of fire with forces is yet to be identified officially but it is being anticipated that he is a foreign terrorist who could be active in this area from past some time.

His body along with arms and ammunition was recovered from encounter site on Wednesday late evening.
