
Srinagar, Jan 27: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday offered condolences and heartfelt sympathies with veteran party functionary and senior member of the party’s District body Anantnag, Haji Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, popularly known as Chacha Ji, on the sudden demise of his son, noted teacher and scholar Dr Zameer Ahmad Bhat of Hutmarah, Anantnag.
Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, party South Zone office bearers, including legislators Altaf Ahmad Wani (Kaloo), Adv. Reyaz Ahmad Khan and Abdul Majid Bhat Larmi visited the bereaved household to offer condolences and sympathies on behalf of the party leadership. They offered Fatiha for the departed soul and prayed for patience and courage for the bereaved family, particularly Haji Ghulam Muhammad Bhat.
In a separate condolence message, the Party President Dr Farooq expressed profound grief over the passing of Naseema Begum, wife of Farooq Ahmad Wani of Bamlora, Ganderbal, and the young sister of noted bureaucrat Haji Sheikh Ghulam Rasool of Ganderbal. Dr Farooq conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul over a telephone call.
