SRINAGAR: The Office of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class/Tehsildar Haveli, Poonch, has issued a notice directing the removal of illegal encroachments in Haji Market and Tandon Market, citing obstruction of public pathways and violation of municipal and revenue norms.

According to the notice issued by Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Tehsildar Haveli, Azhar Majid (JKAS) several shopkeepers and property owners have extended their establishments beyond permissible limits, causing inconvenience to the general public.

All concerned shopkeepers and owners have been asked to remove the unauthorized encroachments within seven days from the date of issuance of the notice. The administration has made it clear that failure to comply within the stipulated period will lead to forcible removal or demolition of the encroachments without any further notice.

The notice further states that the encroached material will be seized and the entire cost of demolition and removal will be recovered from the defaulters.

The action, the notice reads, is being taken in the larger public interest to ensure smooth movement of pedestrians and strict adherence to applicable laws. (KNC)
