Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC LDC Recruitment 2025-26 for Grade C Stenographers through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination. A total of 326 vacancies are announced across various central government services.

The online application process has started from 22 December 2025 and will close on 11 January 2026. Eligible candidates who are currently working as Stenographer Grade D in participating services can apply online through the SSC website.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC LDC Vacancies

Since multiple services are involved, eligibility is given service-wise below.

Service	Educational and Service Requirement
CSSS	Stenographer Grade D with minimum six years approved service
IFS Branch B	Minimum six years approved service and mandatory training
AFHQ	Minimum three years approved and continuous service
Railway Board	Minimum six years approved service
ECI	Minimum three years approved and continuous service
CVC	Five years regular service as Stenographer Grade D

General Conditions:
Candidates must be regularly appointed Stenographer Grade D or Grade III. Eligibility will be verified through service records and conduct reports.

Age Limit:
No specific age limit is prescribed. Eligibility is based on approved service length as on 01 July 2025.

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages.

Part A: Computer Based Examination
Part B: Shorthand Skill Test
Part C: Evaluation of Record of Service

Final selection will be based on combined performance in all stages.
