5 GMC Jammu students attend conference at AIIMS New Delhi

Jammu, Feb 15: Five MBBS students from Student Research and Development Council (SRDC), Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu participated in “Clinical paper and case report Presentation” at Insight 2026 event at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi.

Insight 2026, a premier national medical and scientific conference, was organised by the Scientific Society of AIIMS New Delhi.

The event, held from February 13 to 15, featured the theme “The Fibonacci spiral.” It included AIIMS MUN ’26 comprising debates; clinical paper and case report presentation; the med hackathon for medical innovation and workshops on Basic Life Support.

According to SRDC chairperson, Prof (Dr) Vishal Tandon, five GMC Jammu students, who were shortlisted and participated in the event, included Basit Akeel of MBBS final year; Mohamad Farhan, Bharti Sharma, Iqra Naaz and Raghav Monga – all from MBBS third year.

SRDC aims at promoting culture of research, innovation and academic excellence among medical students and also organises Continuing Medical Education (CME) –structured educational activities, workshops and research opportunities.
