Transformer Explosion Sparks Fire Near Jammu Kashmir Bank in Srinagar | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A fire broke out on Friday evening near the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch at Molvi Stop in Srinagar’s Lal Bazaar area after an electric transformer reportedly exploded.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel, along with police from Lal Bazaar Police Station and locals, reached the spot and launched firefighting operations to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures in the densely populated area.

Officials confirmed no loss of life or injuries at the time of filing. The extent of damage is yet to be ascertained, with assessment expected after the situation is fully brought under control.
