Three Youths Feared Drowned in River Jhelum in North Kashmir; Rescue Operation Underway | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Three youths reportedly drowned in the Jhelum river in the Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday, officials said.

Officials said that the incident occurred in the Hajin area, following which rescue teams were immediately rushed to the spot and a search operation was launched to trace the missing youths.

Rescue personnel, police teams and locals are jointly carrying out the operation in the river, while details regarding the identities of the youths are awaited.

Officials said further information is being ascertained and the rescue operation was underway at the time of filing this report. (JKNS)
