Kralgund school holds anti-drug rally under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

Kralgund, May 07: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, Rehmania Public School Ganapora Qaziabad on Thursday organised a drug awareness rally in Kralgund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The rally commenced from the school premises at Ganapora Qaziabad and culminated at Main Chowk Kralgund. Students, teachers and school staff participated in the programme, carrying placards and raising slogans against drug abuse.

Principal of the school, Nazir Ahmad Najar, and Programme Coordinator Javaid Ahmad Ganaie also participated in the awareness drive.

During the rally, participants highlighted the harmful effects of narcotics on society and appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs. Speakers stressed the need for collective efforts to eradicate the menace of substance abuse and promote a drug-free society.

The school administration said such awareness programmes are aimed at educating students and the general public about the dangers of drug addiction and supporting the larger mission of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan. (via. Sheikh Adnan)
