
SRINAGAR: Six persons were injured after a passenger cab collided with two vehicles and then crashed into a wall in the main market area of Tangdhar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, officials said.
The accident involved an Irtega cab bearing registration number JK09D 6848, which first hit an Alto 800 (JK01L 2792) and a Scorpio (HR26CA4265) before striking a wall.
All six injured persons were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangdhar for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Changree, 43, son of Yaqoob Changree, a resident of Bhaderkote and driver of the cab; Kulsooma Bano, daughter of Ghulam Yameen of Bhaderkote; Naseem Ahmed, son of Mehar Din of Seemari; Ramandeep Kaur, wife of Kuljeet Singh of Tarbuni; Kuljeet Singh, son of Moti Singh of Tarbuni; and Syed Aijaz, son of Mehboob Hussain of Gundi Saydian Karnah.
The condition of the injured was not immediately known. Further details regarding the cause of the accident were awaited. [KNT]
