External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar shared key details from his extensive bilateral discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during Rubio’s first India visit. From trade negotiations and Quad cooperation to defence ties, AI, energy security, semiconductors, visas, terrorism and global conflicts, Jaishankar outlined the expanding strategic partnership between India and the United States. He also stressed India’s commitment to diplomacy, resilient supply chains, maritime security and zero tolerance against terrorism. The talks come amid growing geopolitical tensions in West Asia, the Indo-Pacific and the Ukraine conflict, highlighting the deepening India-U.S. engagement on major global challenges.
