SRINAGAR: Police in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday arrested one person during routine naka checking on Kehribal Road near Hangul Restaurant.

The accused, identified as Mohd Abass Reshi, son-in-law of Ghulam Mohi-u-Deen, a resident of Kehribal, was intercepted during checking. During search, 250 grams of charas powder were recovered from his possession.

The accused was taken into custody. In this regard, FIR No. 46/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Mattan, and investigation has been initiated.

Police have urged the public to share information related to drug trafficking.
