Police Attach Rs 1.5 Cr Property of Accused Drug Peddler in Srinagar | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Police in Srinagar have attached immovable property worth approximately Rs 1.5 crore belonging to an accused drug peddler in the Rainawari area as part of ongoing action against narcotics networks.

According to officials, Police Station Rainawari, acting under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, attached a single-storey residential house along with 11 marlas of land owned by Bilal Ahmad Patoo, son of Ali Mohammad Patoo, a resident of Sultan Mohalla, Saidakadal, Srinagar.

The accused is involved in FIR No. 39/2022 registered under Sections 8/20-29 of the NDPS Act.

Police said the property was identified as an illegally acquired asset generated through proceeds from drug trafficking.

Officials stated that the action reflects Srinagar Police’s continued efforts to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug peddlers and curb narcotics-related activities in the region.

Police have also urged the public to continue supporting anti-drug initiatives by sharing information related to drug trafficking.
