MP Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan Appointed Additional General Secretary of JKNC – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan has been appointed as Additional General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference.

Party sources told Alfaaz – The Words, that the appointment was made as part of an internal organisational exercise to strengthen the party’s senior leadership structure.

Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan is a veteran leader from Handwara with long political experience. He has served multiple terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly and has also held Cabinet rank, managing important ministerial portfolios during his tenure.

Sources said the party leadership views his appointment as recognition of his administrative experience and sustained role within the organisation. They added that his inclusion in the party’s top hierarchy is expected to contribute to coordination and policy planning.

Chowdhary currently represents the National Conference in the Rajya Sabha and continues to engage on political and public issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir. His elevation comes at a time when the party is focusing on consolidating its organisational base ahead of upcoming political developments.
