Mock drill conducted at GDC Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Apr 23: Police in Ganderbal conducted a comprehensive mock drill at Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal aimed to enhance the public preparedness and response during blackout and crisis situations.

The primary objective of the exercise was to familiarise students, staff, and the general public with coordinated emergency response mechanisms in the event of unforeseen contingencies.

The drill simulated real-time scenarios to ensure effective coordination and swift action.

The mock drill witnessed active participation from the civil administration, SDRF, and Traffic Police, reflecting a unified approach towards disaster management and public safety.

Police reiterated its commitment to strengthen the community awareness and to ensure readiness to tackle emergency situations through such proactive initiatives. This followed by a district wide blackout exercise from 8 pm to 8:10 pm.
