
SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted mostly dry weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days, with a brief spell of rain and gusty winds expected later in the week.
As per the forecast, the Union Territory is likely to experience generally dry weather from April 13 to 15. On April 16, conditions are expected to remain largely dry, though isolated areas may witness light rain or thundershowers during the evening or night.
A weather change is anticipated from April 17, when partly to generally cloudy skies along with light rain or thundershowers are expected at several places across Jammu and Kashmir. The MeT department has also cautioned about gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 km/h and the possibility of hail at a few locations during April 17–18.
From April 19 to 23, the weather is expected to turn dry again.
Meanwhile, farmers have been advised to continue agricultural activities until April 16 due to favourable dry conditions. The department has also forecast a rise in daytime temperatures by 2–4°C at many places till April 16.
