Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday dismissed two government employees from service for their alleged involvement in terror-related activities.
The terminations were ordered by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to dismiss employees without a formal inquiry in the interest of the security of the state.
The dismissed employees have been identified as Ghulam Hussain, a teacher in the Education Department, and Majid Iqbal Dar, a teacher and former Lab Assistant.
Hussain has been accused of working as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), maintaining contact with active militants and facilitating recruitment and funding activities in Reasi district.
Dar, on the other hand, was allegedly involved in narco-terrorism, radicalization of youth, and terror financing through drug proceeds. Authorities said he also had links with IED conspiracies in Rajouri and continued to engage in subversive activities even during detention.
