Role and Responsibilities

The Vice Chancellor is the principal academic and executive head of the University and shall exercise powers as prescribed under University statutes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing academic vision, strategic direction and leadership
• Ensuring academic, administrative, financial and developmental activities
• Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP 2020)
• Promoting research, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Enhancing the University’s national and international academic standing

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following academic and professional qualifications:

Essential Academic Qualifications

• Candidate must be an eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree
• Must possess consistently outstanding academic record
• Minimum 10 years experience as Professor in a University
  OR
• Minimum 10 years experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization with proven academic leadership

Age Limit

Term of Office

The Vice Chancellor shall hold office for a term of three (03) years extendable up to five (05) years or until attaining the age of seventy (70) years, whichever is earlier.
