
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the death of 12 people in a tragic road accident in Udhampur, where a passenger bus travelling from Ramnagar overturned, leaving several others injured.
LG Manoj Sinha, in a post on X, termed the incident “heartbreaking” and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Tragic road accident in Udhampur is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to bereaved families. May God grant them strength. Praying for speedy recovery of injured. I have directed district admin, Police, SDRF & Health Dept to provide every possible assistance to those affected.

He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed the district administration, police, SDRF, and health department to ensure all possible assistance to those affected.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also took to X to express profound grief over the accident. He extended condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

The Chief Minister said the government stands firmly with the victims in this hour of grief and assured that all necessary assistance is being provided.
Earlier reports confirmed that 12 people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after the passenger bus overturned on the Ramnagar–Udhampur highway.
