KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdown in Several Areas | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has informed that scheduled shutdowns will be carried out on 33 kV transmission lines as part of essential maintenance works, causing temporary disruption in power supply across several areas.

According to the communiqué, a shutdown of the 33 kV Habak–Zakura line will be observed due to which power supply to Zakura, Batpora, Gulab Bagh, Burzhama, Chaterhama, Tailbal, Danihama, Khimber, Shuperbagh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on May 11, 2026.

In a separate shutdown schedule, the 33 kV Odina Tapline will also remain under maintenance, resulting in disruption of electricity supply to the Odina Transit Migrant Accommodation centre. The shutdown will be effective from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on April 30 and May 02, 2026.

Authorities have advised residents of the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance, as power supply will remain interrupted during the specified hours.
